A romantic comedy chronicling the exploits of ex-band member Alex Fletcher (Hugh Grant), Sophie Fischer(Drew Barrymore) and Cora Corman (Haley Bennett), this is one show that is sure to captivate your imagination and steal your heart. Its great! Alex is a has-been pop star who rediscovers himself when asked to sing a song entitled "way back to love" by cora corman. In the process he enlists the help of Creative writing graduate Sophie Fischer with whom he romances and eventually writes the song with, ending in a touching finale at Cora's concert.
Long story short, the story features great acting, especially on Hugh Grant's part ( nothing unusual, his screenplay in Bridget Jone's diary is impeccable as well ). I didn't know he could sing though! This movie is also the debut of singer/actress Haley Bennett and she was excellent as well. All in all a great movie and highly recommended. I would post the song "way back into love" here, but i hate blogs with music attachments, so i won't put you guys through the trouble ;).
Hugh Grant and Haley Bennett. Hugh's always been one of my favourite actors because of his suave and confident mannerism. Haley has great potential, seeing that this is only her first movie.
